Description: This association of the Siskiyou Mountains grows between 45-595 m of elevation on mostly east-facing slopes. Stands tend to grow on the lower slope positions in deep, moist soils. <i>Pseudotsuga menziesii</i> and <i>Tsuga heterophylla</i> dominate the tree canopy, with <i>Umbellularia californica</i> and <i>Notholithocarpus densiflorus</i> in the subcanopy. The herbaceous layer is dense, with the majority of the cover from <i>Oxalis oregana</i> and <i>Polystichum munitum</i>.
