Description: This is the driest of all inland saltgrass communities in Utah, typically more upland than wetland. Annual forb diversity is high which may be a reflection of grazing history. Short grassland, intermittently flooded may be only from groundwater wicking to surface in wet years. This type is often undifferentiated in published data from wetter <i>Distichlis spicata</i> types.
