Description: This saturated longleaf pine - pond pine woodland association is only found on wet flats of the Atlantic Coastal Plain of North Carolina. Stands are dominated by <i>Pinus palustris</i> and <i>Pinus serotina</i>. The herbaceous layer is characterized by the presence or partial dominance of <i>Aristida stricta</i> and <i>Pleea tenuifolia</i>.
