Description: This community encompasses <i>Spartina bakeri</i>-dominated tidal marshes, infrequently inundated by tides. Other associated species include <i>Kosteletzkya virginica, Ipomoea sagittata, Vicia floridana</i>, and <i>Mikania scandens</i>. Scattered shrubs are often present (in the absence of fire) and include <i>Baccharis halimifolia, Morella cerifera, Acer rubrum, Salix caroliniana</i>, and <i>Fraxinus caroliniana</i>. This tidal marsh association is currently known from the Coastal Plain of Florida, extending into Georgia and possibly South Carolina.
