Description: This saturated longleaf pine - slash pine woodland community occurs in pineland swales and is restricted in distribution to the Atlantic Coastal Plain from South Carolina and Georgia. Stands are dominated by <i>Pinus palustris</i> and <i>Pinus elliottii var. elliottii</i>. The shrub and herb layers are respectively characterized by the presence or partial dominance of <i>Styrax americanus</i> and <i>Sporobolus floridanus</i>.
