Description: This community occurs on rocky cliffs and very steep slopes over limestone in northwestern Texas. <i>Cercocarpus montanus var. paucidentatus</i> is dominant. <i>Ceanothus greggii</i> is often common. The dwarf-shrub <i>Petrophytum caespitosum</i> is nominal as an indicator of exposed bedrock, and varies from scattered to very abundant. Other rock outcrop herbs and shrubs occur.
