Description: This tropical hammock type occurs in the southern coastal portions of Everglades National Park. <i>Swietenia mahagoni, Piscidia piscipula</i>, and <i>Colubrina arborescens</i> are prominent components of the canopy. This hammock type occurs on ridges of shoreline- or storm-deposited marl and/or sand. Hammocks further inland (and north) replace <i>Swietenia</i> with <i>Lysiloma</i> to some extent.
