Description: This maritime community is known only from the Gulf Coast of Louisiana and possibly Texas. It is a salt-pruned dwarf forest/shrubland (2-6 m tall) dominated by <i>Celtis laevigata</i>, and sometimes codominated by <i>Zanthoxylum clava-herculis</i> and <i>Vachellia farnesiana</i> with abundant <i>Vitis mustangensis</i> tying the shrubs together. Known examples are grazed and have a weedy herb layer with <i>Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Ambrosia trifida</i>, and others.
