Description: These seasonally flooded peat depressions are found from South Carolina to Florida and are dominated or codominated by <i>Carex striata var. striata</i>. Some areas are codominated by <i>Xyris fimbriata</i> and/or <i>Lachnanthes caroliana</i>. Other species may include <i>Dulichium arundinaceum, Rhynchospora inundata, Rhynchospora cephalantha, Rhynchospora fascicularis, Syngonanthus flavidulus, Eleocharis microcarpa, Sarracenia minor, Xyris smalliana, Drosera intermedia</i>, and <i>Lipocarpha micrantha</i>. <i>Sphagnum</i> spp. are typically abundant.
