Description: This association represents seepage cliffs dominated by <i>Adiantum capillus-veneris</i> occurring along bluffs of the Cahaba River of central Alabama, where small streams and seeps flow over open limestone cliffs. The vegetation is dominated by <i>Adiantum capillus-veneris</i>. Other herbs include <i>Gentiana saponaria, Onoclea sensibilis, Itea virginica</i>, and <i>Phlox</i> sp. More information is needed on the detailed floristics of these sites. <i>Alnus serrulata</i> is reported to be a common shrub.
