Description: This association grows in saline, seasonally or permanently flooded marshes, channels, ponds, rivers or coastal wetlands. Inland habitats usually have saline soils and low precipitation. Ruppia cirrhosa or Ruppia maritima is the sole or dominant herb forming submerged beds in the water. Utricularia macrorhiza (= Utricularia vulgaris), Najas guadalupensis, Zannichellia palustris, Potamogeton foliosus, and/or Myriophyllum sp. may be present.
